Key facts
- Pending means the casino has not approved or sent the payment yet. The money is still the casino's to review.
- The most common cause is first-time verification. Wild Tokyo allows up to 72 hours after it has your documents, Monday to Friday only.
- Processing hours are often overseas: Wild Tokyo works 09:00 to 18:00 GMT+3, which is 5pm to 2am in Sydney during daylight saving.
- Daily caps split big wins: a $2,400 win at Wild Tokyo's entry level is paid as three AUD 800 withdrawals on three days.
- A demand to send more money to release a withdrawal is a scam sign. Real fees are taken from the payout, as the terms describe.
What "pending" actually means
A pending withdrawal is a request the casino has received but not approved or sent. Until it moves to approved or processed, no money has left the casino. That is why the first job is to find out which rule or queue it is waiting on, not to wait and hope.
10 reasons a withdrawal stays pending
Each cause below comes from rules in casinos' own terms. Wild Tokyo and Mino Casino are used as examples because their terms are public.
| # | Cause | What the terms say | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Account not verified | Wild Tokyo: documents due within 30 calendar days; checks up to 72 hours after receipt | Upload everything asked for, in colour, at once |
| 2 | Outside office hours | Wild Tokyo processes withdrawals Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 GMT+3 | Expect weekend requests to wait until Monday evening |
| 3 | Over the daily cap | AUD 800 a day at Wild Tokyo and AUD 900 at Mino Casino (entry level) | Split big amounts across days |
| 4 | Too many open requests | Both allow 3 withdrawal requests at a time | Wait for one to clear before adding another |
| 5 | Active bonus | Withdrawing before wagering is complete cancels the bonus and its winnings | Check the bonus balance before you request |
| 6 | Deposit not played through | Wild Tokyo: under 3 times the deposit in bets, up to 10% commission or a refusal | Ask support whether it applies before you cash out |
| 7 | Wrong method | Withdrawals go back by the method you deposited with | Choose the same method, or ask which one is allowed |
| 8 | Details do not match | Wild Tokyo's finance team may postpone a withdrawal for extra checks | Fix your name, address and date of birth through support |
| 9 | Large first payout | Wild Tokyo pays no more than EUR 2,000 in 24 hours, or EUR 2,300 in total, before identity, age and address are verified | Verify before you win big |
| 10 | VPN or suspected bonus abuse | Wild Tokyo can void winnings if it believes you hid your IP address or broke bonus rules | Play from your own connection and inside the bonus rules |
One more rule catches people out: Wild Tokyo's "Take a break" setting automatically cancels any active withdrawal requests and returns the money to your balance. If you need a break, take it, then request the withdrawal again when it ends.
Casino withdrawal times, in Australian hours
A casino that reviews withdrawals in GMT+3 office hours is mostly working while Australia sleeps. Wild Tokyo's window in Sydney time during daylight saving is 5pm to 2am, Monday to Friday. A worked example of a first withdrawal:
| When (Sydney time) | What happens |
|---|---|
| Saturday 10am | You request $2,400. It sits in the queue. |
| Monday from 5pm | The casino reviews it and asks for ID, a card photo and a utility bill. |
| Monday 7pm | You upload the documents. |
| By Thursday evening | Verification done, at the 72-hour limit Wild Tokyo allows. |
| Thursday and the next two business days | Paid as three AUD 800 withdrawals, one a day, at entry level. |
| Then | Each payment takes the bank or wallet's own transfer time. |
Done the other way round, with documents uploaded the week you open the account, the same $2,400 starts paying on the first business day. Mino Casino's FAQ gives the overall range plainly: one hour up to several business days, depending on the method and your verification status.
Pundit tip: do not cancel a pending withdrawal to "play a bit more". It goes back into your balance, and the queue starts again from zero.
What to do, stage by stage
- Within 24 hours. Check the cashier status and your email, including spam. Upload any documents requested. Wild Tokyo's terms give kyc@wildtokyo.com as the address for verification documents; Mino Casino's give kyc@minocasino.com.
- At 72 hours. Open live chat and ask three questions: which rule is the withdrawal waiting on, what exactly do you still need from me, and when will it be processed. Screenshot the answers.
- At one week. Send a written complaint by email to the support address in the terms. Include the withdrawal amount, date, transaction ID and the chat transcript.
- At 30 days. Both casinos say they hold an eGaming licence from the Government of Curacao, without a licence number. Your remaining option is a complaint to that licensing authority. Our guide on how to complain about an online casino explains what each body can and cannot do, and how to check a casino licence shows how to look the licence up on its register. There is no Australian regulator or ombudsman for offshore casinos.
When a casino is not paying out at all
Some withdrawals never arrive. Warning signs include a new document request every time you provide the last one, a reason that keeps changing, or a demand to deposit again before you can withdraw. ACMA warns that people who use illegal operators risk losing their money, and there is no Australian body that can force a payout.
If you have lost money, expect a second wave of contact. Scamwatch warns that money recovery scams target people who have already lost money, often posing as lawyers, police or government agencies and asking for an upfront fee. Refuse them, and report them to Scamwatch. Our online casino scams guide covers recovery scams and the other warning signs.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my casino withdrawal pending?
Usually because it is waiting for review, your account is not verified yet, the request falls outside the casino's processing hours, or it breaks a rule such as a daily cap or an active bonus. The casino's terms list the rules, and support can tell you which one applies.
How long can a withdrawal stay pending?
It depends on the casino. Mino Casino's FAQ says processing takes from one hour up to several business days. Wild Tokyo's terms say verification can take up to 72 hours after it receives your documents, and you have 30 calendar days to send them.
What are normal casino withdrawal times?
For a verified account and a small amount, hours to a few business days at the casino, then the payment method's own transfer time. First withdrawals, large wins and weekend requests take longer.
What can I do if a casino is not paying out my winnings?
Ask support for the exact reason in writing, provide anything it asks for, then make a written complaint by email. If that fails, complain to the authority the casino says licenses it. No Australian body can order an offshore casino to pay.
Should I cancel a pending withdrawal?
No, unless you made a mistake in the request. Cancelling puts the money back in your playable balance, where it is easy to lose, and you start the queue again.
Do I have to pay a fee to release my withdrawal?
Not upfront. Where a casino's terms allow fees or commissions, they are deducted from the withdrawal. Being asked to deposit or send money first so a payout can be released is a common scam.
