CrownPlay verdict: no name on the door
CrownPlay is a casino and sportsbook that never says who runs it. Its general terms, About page and Privacy Notice, all read on 8 October 2026, describe "the company operating the Website" without naming a company, a registration number or a licence. Combine that with low entry-level withdrawal caps, a fee rule for unplayed deposits and six blocked mirror domains, and CrownPlay scores 2.8 out of 10, the lowest of the casinos we could fully read.
Where crownplay.com sends you
The main address, crownplay.com, is not on ACMA's blocked list. Six numbered or hyphenated CrownPlay mirrors are, including crownplay-5811.com, crownplay4.com and crownplay6.com. When we opened crownplay.com on 8 October 2026 from outside Australia, it redirected straight to crownplay-5811.com, one of the blocked addresses. From a US connection it showed a "not available for your country for legal reasons" page instead. In other words, the brand itself sends players to a domain ACMA has asked Australian providers to block.
Who owns CrownPlay? Nobody named
Clause 1.4 of the terms says "we", "us" and "Company" mean the company operating the website. Clause 14.1 says disputes are settled "in accordance with the applicable Law" without saying which law. The Privacy Notice mentions joint controllers and "brands within the same entity/operator", which suggests a group of sites, but names none of them. The footer gives only a copyright line for CrownPlay.com and an 18+ notice.
That matters more than any bonus. If a withdrawal is refused, you would not know which company to complain about, which regulator licenses it, or where to send a dispute.
Is CrownPlay legal in Australia?
No. Online casino games cannot legally be offered to people in Australia under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and CrownPlay's sportsbook also lists live betting, which is prohibited online in Australia. Australia is missing from CrownPlay's "Excluded Jurisdictions" list, which names about 35 countries including the UK, the US and the Netherlands. Our guide to whether online pokies are legal in Australia explains who the law targets.
Withdrawal limits by VIP level
Clause 6.11 sets limits by VIP level, worked out from your activity in the 90 days before each request. In Australian dollars:
| VIP level | Per day | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | A$800 | A$10,500 |
| Level 2 | A$800 | A$16,000 |
| Level 3 | A$1,200 | A$20,000 |
| Level 4 | A$1,600 | A$24,000 |
| Level 5 | A$2,500 | A$35,000 |
A new player who wins A$30,000 would wait at least 38 days at A$800 a day, and three calendar months under the A$10,500 monthly cap (30,000 / 10,500 = 2.9, rounded up). You can have only three withdrawals pending at once, and clause 6.14 lets the company pay "according to individual schedule". If a request sits for days, our casino withdrawal pending guide lists what to ask support.
The 10% and 15% rule for unplayed deposits
Clause 6.8 requires every deposit to be bet at least once before withdrawal. If you have bet less than your deposit, CrownPlay may cancel all winnings and keep 10% of the last deposit (at least EUR 0.50), or 15% if you paid by bank card or bank transfer. Deposit A$200 by card, change your mind and withdraw it, and A$30 could be kept. Clause 6.7 adds that a withdrawal can be refused if you have not wagered at least EUR 20 in that calendar month.
Payment methods for Australians
With Australia selected, the payments page listed these AUD ranges per transaction:
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal |
|---|---|---|
| Card | A$30 to A$3,100 | A$30 to A$4,800 |
| Mifinity | A$30 to A$4,000 | A$30 to A$4,000 |
| Bank transfer | Not listed | A$30 to A$8,100 |
| Skrill | Not listed | A$30 to A$8,100 |
| Bitcoin | A$45 to A$7,800 | A$100 to A$7,800 |
| Other crypto (USDT, ETH, LTC and more) | A$30 to A$8,100 | A$30 to A$8,100 |
PayID was not listed, and the limits shown are per transaction, so the VIP caps above still apply on top. Our Mifinity casinos page explains how that e-wallet works.
Welcome package maths
The casino welcome package advertised "250% up to EUR 3,000 + 350 FS" over four deposits: 100% up to A$1,500 plus 200 free spins, then 75% up to A$750, 50% up to A$750 plus 50 spins, and 25% up to A$1,500 plus 100 spins. Wagering is 35 times the deposit plus the bonus, within 10 days, and the bonus can release at most 10 times its own value.
Deposit A$100 for a A$100 first bonus and you must bet (A$100 + A$100) x 35 = A$7,000. At a 96% RTP that costs about A$280 on average, close to three times the bonus. The maximum bet allowed with a bonus is A$150, high enough to burn through a balance quickly. Skrill and Neteller deposits do not qualify, and free spin winnings are capped at A$75 or A$150.
Responsible gaming: an email address
The responsible gaming page offers a self-assessment quiz and self-exclusion by emailing support@crownplay.com, and lists GamCare, Gamblers Anonymous and Gambling Therapy. It describes no deposit, loss, wager or session limits. Accounts with no login for 180 days are charged EUR 5 a month. For free support in Australia, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858. If you want to bet on sport, Australian-licensed betting sites are all covered by BetStop, the national self-exclusion register, and by Australian regulators.

Frequently asked questions
Who owns CrownPlay?
We could not find out. CrownPlay's general terms refer only to the company operating the website, its About page names no company, and its Privacy Notice says only that the operator is the data controller. No licence number is given either.
Is CrownPlay legal in Australia?
No. Online casino games cannot legally be offered to people in Australia, and ACMA has asked internet providers to block six CrownPlay mirror domains. CrownPlay also runs a sportsbook with live betting, and online in-play sports betting is prohibited in Australia.
What is the CrownPlay withdrawal time?
The terms do not commit to a processing time. They cap withdrawals by VIP level, from A$800 a day and A$10,500 a month at Level 1, allow at most 3 pending withdrawals, and let the company pay on an individual schedule.
Does CrownPlay have a no deposit bonus?
We could not confirm one. The promotions page we read listed a welcome package, weekend and weekly reloads, and daily and live cashback, all of which need a deposit.
Does CrownPlay accept PayID?
PayID was not listed. With Australia selected, the payments page showed card and Mifinity deposits from A$30 plus about 15 cryptocurrencies; withdrawals by card, bank transfer, Skrill, Mifinity and crypto.
